Ordered the fuel tank sending unit in advance to minimize downtime on my truck to service. Unfortunately, the new send unit is completely incompatible and unable to physically replace the original send unit. Due to time constraints, whereas I would have normally just been able to return the new unit for a refund, I had to cannibalize parts off the new unit to fix the the original one. Now I have had to repair a 25 year old part rather than replacing it with a new one as intended.
