Not sure if it was a bad design or improper choice of materials but the original back plate warped where the bulb carriers engaged resulting in loss of contact [ think solar heat was involved]. Good instructions helped remove the old unit [ put whole taillight assembly in paper bag with a hair dryer on Med for an hour and plate came off easily with no damage and little slow prying]. New unit clipped on easily [with some RTV sealant] and worked. Got the right part with quicker than quoted delivery, am happy.

Work great! Use Dielectric grease and pliers to assemble and twist the sockets in, it helps. Plus I bought 2 new sockets for the Brake light bulbs as they were burnt. The circuit board MUST be loosened to remove with a heat gun! Glue is heat affected. As it lifts off I cut the glue that was stretching with a razor knife. Be careful and take your time.

Good to replace when needed! But hard as hell to get the old one off! Next time will just buy a complete new set of lenses. but item seams to work once installed!

This helped to fix the intermittent failures of all the lights on this side. I highly recommend replacing these and the bulb sockets too! Product arrived early and in great shape!
