Heart warming true story.
Excellent heartwarming true story of a 1920's baseball star, his successes and troubles. James Stewart and June Allyson are excellent as husband a wife, ably supported by Agnes Moorehead and Frank Morgan. A huge box office success for MGM in its day.

Well worth watching.
This is a very well acted and heart warming story that keeps you interested right to the end. There is a lot of baseball, which is perhaps the only downside if you are not a sports fan, but the human side of the story makes up for that.
