    Venus Isle

    Ok this was Eric Johnson’s 4th album, but is widely believed to be his 3rd because 'seven words' (his 1st album) was pretty much unknown due to issues with the contract back in the late 1970's. This album followed the release of ‘Ah Via Musicom’, which was Eric Johnson’s biggest hit. Venus isle is a more developed album than ‘Ah Via Musicom it also uses a bigger range of background instruments in some of the songs, such as, string instruments used in 'lonely in the night'. Eric also worked on his vocal abilities for this album, where you can hear some definite improvements from his previous work, it also till has some fun to impressive instrumental songs, including where he shows of his skill as a pianist with 'song for Lynette'. And of course, it still showcases his world class ability ...
