I loved the book but with so many characters involved it starts out rather slow and takes a while to get going, but once the train starts pulling out from the station hang on you are in for the ride of your life. I will agree with others that the reader takes some getting used to and at the start I was sure if I could listen to him all the way through (30 hours) but he dooes get better as the story line starts to develop. I wouldn't have him reading to many books though.
Great book! Keeps you interested trying to find connections.

I found the story interesting but it didn't really grab hold of me until more than halfway through. It might have been the fractured narative of many subplots but that is just a personal opinion. All in all it's typical Koontz story telling with his unique flare for the strange.
I love to listen to books on cd, especially books by Dean Koontz. I have already read most all of his books manually but I find listening to them I enjoy them again all over again.
