The dial indicator looked new but was broken. A simple check by pushing in the plunger would have shown this before it was shipped. A light shake of it and you could hear pieces rattling around inside. It was packed well so it did not happen during shipping it was simply broken when it was sold.Contacted seller about it and got no reply whatsoever. Luckily ebay stepped in and I was able to get a refund. I am still out the $30 for duties though
