I upgraded to the Edge 1000 from the 800. Needless to say there are a lot of enhancements compared to my old Garmin. I appreciate the larger screen size, improved clarity and resolution, bluetooth capability and more. The Garmin Connect app on my iPhone is very nice. I have also paired a Varian Radar to the device and won't ride alone without it. Despite some negative reviews that I see from time to time, I would give this device a 5 star rating. Very happy with the purchase and would recommend this device to any active cyclist.

Garmin 1000 - Still new to me, but with about 5 uses it is working well and routes are spot on. The only issue that I have noticed, it dropped my Iphone X several times on my long ride. It picked it back up on 3-5 seconds. The phone was about 2 feet from the garmin, so not sure what is going on there, but just an fyi. I did not epxerience this on my Garmin 810. Still learning the device, but I like the function so far.

Garmin 1000 connects quickly to my phone. I like the live track feature, heart rate and mapping feature.

Aside from having too figure out how to repair the missing power activation button the unit works great.

Does the job, but a bit finicky and certainly not intuitive. Sometimes loses contact with sensors, no pattern and hard to establish contact at times. Overall though a good device but user friendliness certainly needs to improve.
