  • Stirling excels at titles as well as writing

S M Stirling is a master at bringing new life and vision into the science fiction genre. Brings to mind the earlier writing of Edgar Rice Burroughs with the same excitement, sense of adventure, and remarkable characters. Stirling deserves every acolade for this novel that is completely engrossing as the rest of his novels that deal with alternate histories. Instead of the dead worlds discovered by the early probes in our reality, in his life is found on both Venus and Mars and his portrayal of the consequences of these descoveries is not less than genius.

  • stirling rules

anything that this guy writes goes on my bookshelf. i have only been reading Stirling for about 6 months, but i haven't stopped. He has quickly replaced Chricton as my favorite author.

  • The Sky People Review

The book was entertaining and kept my interest going. It was worth reading. Well written and good storyline.
