The CH340 chip appears to be genuine because Windows 10 PRO accepts it without error. However there appears to be a short circuit between the serial transmit and receive lines making the cable inoperable with the radio. I have advised the supplier "lovesister" and I am waiting to hear back from them. I am not sure if I get another chance to provide feedback so if there is an eBay moderator listening perhaps they could advise?
