The Jungle Book
This particular edition of a popular classic is notable for its beautiful color plates by the Detmold brothers, as well as numerous great black & white illustrations. It's told in the more formal English from the turn of the century, but still easy reading for older children and enjoyable for the adult who likes Kipling.
