Glad I did that, going through the process I learned the shop that assembled my bike hadn't adjusted or centered the original brake properly. Even so, the Shimano has a larger stopping surface making contact with the rim.

I returned it simply because I decided to go a different direction with the drivetrain on the bike I'm building for my grandson. Thank you!
