    Used to clear my cloudy water.

    I have 2 overstocked tanks, spent so much on decor for my lovely fish, drew my own background, but can't see nothing that's no fun! So I got one for each tank, in just a few days clearer than its ever been. I feel like the fish are so much happier or maybe it's just me. I can now see all the fish, decor, and my background woohoo!

    Save your money.

    I purchased this to control some waterborne algae blooms. Hooking it up and getting it going is very easy. Upon plugging it in I was concerned about the amount of water flow but dismissed it as just being for a small UV unit. My big concern is that it runs on 12 volt. The output just isn't enough to provide sufficient ultra violet light to kill much of anything. I owned one of the largest saltwater stores in the state and have sold and used many. This isn't what you want if your looking for a decent sterilizer for your aquarium.

    Works but you have to be patient.

    I have a 55 gallon tank that was full of green algae, I did almost everything, until a decide to give a try to this green killing machine(I bought the 24 watt), it took almost 5 days to clean my tank, my tank is out side my house and receive sun light in the afternoons(not directly but still) you can see pictures of the results, after the five day I put clear water from API, and the picture speaks for itself self. Thanks

    Seeing past the pea green soup...

    The device cleared up a bad case of both green and black algae. My 55 gal is now crystal clear. After installation it was a gradual change over 4 days. After 4 days the quality and clarity is great.

    Bulb is not standard.

    The bulb in this device is proprietary and you can not buy any other but them. And there’s no way to adapt any standard uv bulb to it. This is a uv for small setups and the only good I can tell is, it comes with its own pump and is built to be placed inside the tank. It can work vertically or horz. Fresh and marine use.
