Best movie ever made about shrinkage.
This is a review of the movie itself. I thought the movie was a hoot. A few holes in the plot, so if you don't want me to spoil the end, turn off your computer, and leave town now. So here goes: The Puppet People never actually attack. Its more like a day in the life of some puppet people. The bad guy is about to be in trouble, but is sort of just left alone. Terrifying for him, since he is not Greta Garbo. The dog on the picture sleeve is not actually in the movie. A nice barky white dog is in the movie. The giant scissors on the cover never make an appearance---unless I forgot that scene. The lead "actress" has one of the lowest female voices ever recorded on screen, but she has good hair. I hope they made it out safely. The movie contains one of the scariest telephone scene's ever filmed. Oh, and there's a song. Nice tune for its time. I will have nightmares every time I walk past an overhead projector---okay, so not that often these days. This movie is a must have for any of you John Agar fans out there. I would rate it five out of five, but must stop at four due to the wrong dog, and lack of giant scissors---unless I forgot that scene.

Fun classic, missleading title
This movie should have been titled "The Lonely Doll Maker" as the working title is very misleading. This is a wonderful classic that isn't horror at all, and not about puppets or anyone attacking, but about a lonely old man that struggles with his empty life. If you enjoy old black and white movies, this one is great for the collection!

Sucker Punch
How to describe a sucker punch? There was no attack despite the various artwork depicting such. And it is a stretch to call the little people puppets. The connection is not obvious until the very end. Two little people return to normal and leave with nary a word for the other six to ten victims. The cat in the match box was the high point ...
