The book is in "reasonable" condition! not vg condition as described- front cover permanent fold over on arrival, packed this way ? pages are yellowing. Seller may be best to place a description "proper" of actual book being sold on the listing with photos so buyers know what they are receiving for the price paid.

Set aside the excellent illustrations of Mr. Robert Crumb, who is possibly the greatest comic book artist to come from the 60s/70s underground comic movement, the bio Mr. Mairowitz has written is in depth and precise, like a fine razor cut. He has trimmed away a great deal of fat concerning Kafka's life and stayed on coarse, not only exposing the man's weakness and strengths, but explaining them as well. I discovered things in this book about Kafka I had not seen in Textbooks, but, with a little effort, discovered these hidden facts elsewhere. So it's factual as well as enlightening. Also there are several of his works added, each one illustrated wonderfully by Mr. Crumb, which is a treat and a nice introduction to his stories for novices. Both men dovetail perfectly in a very good book.
