Additional information
Personnel: Nurse Julie (bass guitar); Wolf Howard (drums). Recording information: Circo Perrotti, Spain (2008); Ranscombe Studios, Rochester, Kent, England (2008). Photographer: Emily Beaver. For Billy Childish, time may as well have stopped in 1977. A garage punk purist in every sense, Childish has been stubbornly churning out thrilling lo-fi rock and roll for over 30 years. His latest album, THATCHER'S CHILDREN, the first with The Musicians of the British Empire, finds the old man raging against the current state of complacency and ipod-initiated hypnosis in England's citizenry. It's more fun than that sounds, however, and songs like "Coffee Date" and "He's Making a Tape" benefit from sassy female vocals. But Childish is Childish, and fuzzy garage-blues rule as usual.
Reviews
Q (Magazine) (p.104) - 3 stars out of 5 -- "Highlights include the title track, a passionate, state-of-the-nation rant against Margaret Thatcher's legacy, and bassist Nurse Julie's 'He's Making A Tape'..." Mojo (Publisher) (p.110) - 3 stars out of 5 -- "The Musicians Of The British Empire play with tremendous energy -- raw, but not lo-fi, and certainly not tidied up and digitised, with Wolf Howard an all-action drummer."

Fantastic seller! My item took longer than normal to arrive but that's due to them sending me the wrong dvd. Not to worry though, I contacted them and they arranged for the correct dvd to be sent out. My item has now arrived and the dvd was in excellent condition (brand new as described) and it was very well packaged. I would also like to say that the value for money is excellent. I highly recommend this seller, thank you so much! The issue with the wrong dvd was quickly rectified .

Book arrived safely packaged in perfect order. Item as described, new. Thank you Rarewaves Outlet. Fascinating book, great addition to my collection. Great price. Would recommended this seller. No communication needed with seller, so don't know what to rate with regards to communication (please dont take lack of feedback on this matter as a negative). Thanks again.

This vinyl is really reasonably priced and I love that it is one of the more unusual colours. It arrived well packaged, undamaged and looks as described. It arrived late, due to Royal Mail's Festive rush, but was dispatched by the seller really quickly. When I contacted them to ask where it was, they replied really quickly with a helpful solution. Such good customer service, so strongly recommend. Really happy with my purchase.
