Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2002 im Fachbereich Politik - Politische Systeme - Allgemeines und Vergleiche, Note: 1, Universitat Duisburg-Essen (Politikwissenschaft), Veranstaltung: Politische Utopien, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In der folgenden Arbeit soll ein Vergleich zwischen der Gesellschaft in der DDR und der Gesellschaft, wie sie Orwell in seinem antiutopischen Roman 1984 beschreibt, durchgefuhrt werden. Dabei liegt der Schwerpunkt auf der Suche nach Tendenzen, die in der Gesellschafts- und Politikstruktur der DDR in Bezug auf die Gesellschaft bei Orwell gefunden werden koennen. Ich werde die Gesellschaft bei Orwell nicht immer als Fiktion kennzeichnen, sondern ich werde sie als der DDR-Gesellschaft gleichgestellt betrachten. Da Orwell die Gesellschaft in seinem Roman aus der Perspektive eines Protagonisten darstellt, werden nicht alle Aspekte erwahnt. Deshalb werde ich mich hier auf verschiedene Ausschnitte beschranken, bei denen ich genugend Informationen fur einen Vergleich zu Verfugung habe. Diese Ausschnitte sind die Struktur des Staatsapparates, der UEberwachungsapparat, die Geschichtsschreibung und die Familienpolitik. Im Fazit wird eine kurze Zusammenfassung der gefundenen Tendenzen zu lesen sein, bevor die Arbeit mit einer kurzen persoenlichen Stellungnahme endet.
