Von ihr aus entwickeln Historikerinnen und Historiker ihre Neugier und ihre Fragestellungen. In die Gegenwart sind sie emotional verstrickt. Die Bedeutung dieser Tatsache, welche uns heute eher trivial erscheint, ist selbst Ergebnis einer langeren historischen Entwicklung. Die Fragestellung, um die sich diese Arbeit dreht, ist also sowohl eine wissenschaftshistorische (wie kam es dazu, dass die Standortgebundenheit ins Blickfeld der Historiker ruckte?) als auch eine geschichtstheoretische (Wie lasst sich der Standort des Historikers zwischen den beiden Polen Parteilichkeit und Objektivitat so (um)formulieren, dass daraus eine programmatische Fundierung einer geschichtswissenschaftlichen Positionierung bestehen kann?). Die Nachzeichnung dieser Transformation soll aber nicht als solche stehen bleiben, sondern zu einem praktischen geschichtswissenschaftlichen Umgang mit dieser Erfahrung beitragen. Dabei wird ein Schwerpunkt auf die Arbeiten von Reinhart Koselleck gelegt, der sich mit diesen Fragen in verschiedenen Texten befasst hat. Weil sich Koselleck wiederholt und pointiert in die schwierige gedachtnispolitische Debatte um das Holocaust-Denkmal in Berlin eingeschaltet hat, dienen diese Texte als Grundlage, um die von ihm theoretisch formulierten Anspruche auf ihre praktische Ausarbeitung in einer politischen Debatte zu untersuchen. Dabei mussen auch Fragen hinsichtlich der Rolle des Historikers als engagierten Beobachters aufgeworfen werden.

Fantastic seller! My item took longer than normal to arrive but that's due to them sending me the wrong dvd.
