About this product

Product Information

This follow-up to 2006's Avatar: The Last Airbender continues the martial arts exploits of Aang, Katara, Haru, and Sokka in their attempt to save Earth Kingdom from the dreaded Fire Nation. As in the original game, the action is primarily viewed from an isometric viewpoint as players use each cel-shaded character's special techniques and proficiency in different schools of elemental magic to pummel groups of enemies. Light role-playing features include attack upgrades, new equipment, and an assortment of side quests and puzzles to complete. The Burning Earth introduces the option to team-up with a friend for cooperative action, or players can test their fighting prowess in the new arena combat mode. Joining the list of playable characters are Toph and Jet, while Aang's animal companions Momo and Appa are featured in distinct flying levels.

    Cool enough I guess.

The game is slightly uninteresting and the visual graphics aren't of the highest quality but it is an older game. But to get the game at such a low price it was practically a steal. I personally play it just because it is official Avatar merchandise. I wish Nickelodeon would do a newer hd version of this ame for the wii U or 3DS.

  • Avatar: The Last Airbender--Burning Earth is a good buy

This is a fun game. My son is always challenged and can't wait to complete each chapter. The game really is for 10+ aged kids. My son is not 10 yet. The game gives clues and notes along the challenge and he can't read the notes that fast... he ends up calling us in the room to help. I would prefer him to battle along w/out our constant help. But, the story book w/in the game does narrate so that is a plus. Other games expect you to read it.. and it moves from page to page too fast. No blood seen yet so far and the bad guys just seem to sparkle/disappear, w/o any horrible death scenes, when killed. We got it for an excellent price. I would recommend this game. But, not for the $30+ price it is selling for in the stores.

  • Fan of Avatar

I am an avid fan of Avatar. I am a new Wii owner, and was in the past an avid gamer. I bought the Wii not for the games, but for the fitness, and a bit for the controls. I saw these games bought the first one, loved it so had to buy the second. I have had many difficulties playing this game. I do exactly as the on screen commands tell me and still I have difficulties. I was expecting it to be a little easier, since it was made for children. If I was still a kid, I wouldn't have the patience to figure out how to make some of the moves work. (I was a hyper kid, with a very short attention span.) Fortunately I am older and am willing to try over and over again. I do like being able to change characters, but honestly I had to put the game away for a while... I got too frustrated trying to ...

  • Die-Hard fans like myself won't be disappointed

I have been a huge fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the TV series. It was only natural that after the amazing series finale, I should get into the games!!!! Though The Burning Earth may not appeal to those who know nothing of the show, huge fans like myself are not disappointed....well except for the fact that its very easy to beat. But hey...I am a die-hard fan!

  • Burning Earth

My entire family of Dad (31), me (29), and our boys (2,8,and 9) LOVE Avatar. The 2 older boys absolutely love this game as well. It follows the story line really well and is true to the series. We have rented the other 2 Avatar games and this one was the best skill level for my boys. The first game was 2 easy and they claim the last one is a little two hard for them. Burning Earth is by far their favorite of the three!
