The globe arrived in a well insulated container and in good condition as described. The seller responded promptly to my request for a shipping update. It did arrive over a week late though and for $29 on a $25 item that was frustrating. Overall a positive experience. Recommended with patience. Also, negotiate a faster shipping method at that price.

P.S. The Shemarin brothers' samovar has no significant flaws and can be fully restored. The samovar is already ready for use. This "crack" is actually just a sign of how the samovar was made - it's an attachment point (it won't be visible after a good polish).
