    The BBC Micro programmer was advertised without the operational eprom so I had to scour the Internet to download it. Then to create the eprom I purchased a sideways ram board. My programmer now works fine.

    Unfortunately the TracoPower TSR 1-2450 Voltage Regulators were counterfeit items and did not function correctly, the voltage regulation was out of specification and they would not produce 1 Amp output as they should do if they were genuine items, the level of input and output capacitance was less than half of the value found on the genuine part leading to excess ripple at 500mA load, after 650mA load the device shut down where as the genuine device on the identical test circuit gave 1 Amp fine.
