The box appeared to be original and possibly unopened but the inside said otherwise. Everything was fine except for some scratches on the face edge and a little rubber bumper that I had to install that probably wasn't fully seated. The styrofoam layer was definitely not a whole complete piece protecting the stove. Perhaps an open box for display from an RV show or demo, otherwise it looks good. It's new but not perfect.
