If you have Chromecast, you can even control your TV without the need for a remote control with Google Home Smart Assistant. You can tell it what channel or service you wish to view and the smart assistant device handles the rest. Some of other applications you can access include ordering food from connected establishments, requesting transportation and receiving status updates for any tasks or appointments you have scheduled. You can even order food and products through the device to have them delivered to your door. The Google Home Smart Assistant is compatible with more than 1,000 smart home devices, including Insignia, TP-Link, Philips Hue, Samsung SmartThings, and Nest. This makes it possible to find information and make command, such as asking it if the front doors are locked or what the temperature is in the baby's room. You can also be in another room in the house, such as the bedroom, and ask Google Home to turn on the coffee maker or slow cooker. In addition to the features mentioned, the Google Home Smart Assistant also includes an alarm clock that you can set to go off with music or an alarm. The white and slate exterior blends in well with any decor.

    Cool gadget

    Google has created a nice device that provides music and information by voice control. The microphone is very good and will usually pick up commands from across the room. The speakers sound surprisingly good for such a small device. I wish it had tone control though. It will stream Pandora, YouTube music, Spotify and Google Play Music. You do need to have a paid subscription to play specific songs on request. I subscribed to the YouTube Music app and it is pretty good. The only downside is I have most of my personal music collection on iTunes and it will not stream. Other than that it's a cool device.

    Wish it was portable

    I do love my google,home but I thought that it was portable and not plugged up into the wall like a radio. I like devices that I can carry around with me instead of it being stuck in one place. Because I would like to take it to the river to the lake places that we go to I don't want to just be able to use at home in one room because who can afford to buy one for every room. But if you're looking for something that stationary and you don't want to move it yes get the Google home it works very well has good sound has good quality just can't afford to have one that's for home and one I can take with me

    My 2nd Google Home Device

    Hopefully it will continue to evolve, but happy with the device. Plus I have Google Cast speakers which this helps me control and send music of my choice to my speakers. Love standard features, such as interfacing with google search, google music, etc. Plus, great alarm clock and keeps my calendar at my convenience.

    Google Home - UK user

    Very easy to setup using Android app - although I had to change my phone's language from English(UK) to English(US). I had trouble getting good UK->US plug adapter, because supplied power adaptor has built-in plug and is quite heavy, so it tends to fall out of plug adapters that don't grip tightly! Also, you can not use your favourite 5V USB power supply, as the supply is 16.5V, 2A with an angled jack plug that fits in the bottom of the Home device. This plug adapter worked well for ebay dot co dot uk/itm/30112866514 Easy to link to my chromecast tv, but I have not yet managed to connect it to my chromecast audio, rather when I try to connect it, the chromecast audio, it says 'voice control not supported'.     Smart speaker, much smarter than Echo

    This is smart enough to know human nature language. Also it is perfect companion with Chromecast, it voice command TV on/off and volume, as well as what to stream from YouTube on TV, also you can choose specific songs from Spotify using free account, it makes chromecast more useful, and chromecast makes it more useful.
