In 1992, General Motors introduced the LT1 V-8 engine. This upgraded design, based on the traditional (since 1955) small-block V-8, marked a significant step forward for GM, as the engine was designed to be a modern, efficient, computer-controlled powerplant from the start. This was unlike any other V-8 GM had ever built, and the results were outstanding. The LT1, along with its more powerful stablemate, the LT4, raised the bar for performance-oriented small-blocks until the introduction of the LS1 in 1997. The LT1/LT4 engines are powerful, relatively lightweight, and affordable. They powered Chevrolet?s legendary Impala SS (and thousands of similar police cars), Corvettes, and Camaros and remain viable choices for enthusiasts today.

  • Total Comparison of the LT1 and LT4

In Detail, with photos, the Author Points out the similarities and few differences of the LT Gen II LT1 and LT4. Gives Clear Visuals and numbers to easily distinguish between the two Versions. Also, Offers Simple Upgrades and Updates that can be done to simplity your engine for future builds, creating a Rock Solid Bottom End and Matching Appropriate Heads, Camshafts, for the entended needs of the engine. So intersting and full of little hidden HP Secrets, pages and pages of Dyno Proven Combinations for Street Strip to all Out Wide Open Throttle Endurance. I must a admit I was concerned, because I've bought some JUNK Manuals in My Past, but INCLUDING the Shipping, the Best Book I have for My LT1 other than the 5 GM Factory Service MAnuals I have. If you are building a Gen II SBC or just want to be the Guys that knows all the "little deatils" this is the book for you in the LT Engine World for the Money.
