    I didn't realize the one antler on the cow was broken but I'm not mad about it. Could very well have been in the description so that's on me. Price was great for the piece.     Support Characters Outshine the Stars

    Not really a film noir; just a good old movie. It seems like a mediocre. imitation of other former crime drama in this gaundre but not in the same league. Liz Scott was true to her stereotype role...merely switching from nice girl to bad girl as per script. Unless you've never seen her appearing in a movie before, her lack of diversity in the many noir films she's been in cumulatively detracts from each succeeding film. Charlton Heston has a great persona on the screen. In this case he's surprisingly a bad guy but struggles to fit into that mode. He never quite makes it since he's been miscasted. The other support characters is what makes the movie worth watching.
