    Return to "The Hill"

    After all these years, returning to the gritty well-done stories of Hill Street Precinct in the unknown city of the early 1980s was so enjoyable, I bought additional CDs to follow the entire series. The acting is superb, the storylines range from deadly, intriguing to humorous - a mix that won the cast and writers major accolades at the time, and were well-deserved. Hill Street Blues set the pace for subsequent crime–related TV series, with strong characters showing both strengths and human frailties. They have lasted through the test of time. It is sad to know that three of the major players are gone, especially Michael Conrad, who died during filming of the fourth season. His character, Sgt.
