Synopsis
Finally available in North America, this is the definitive and dramatic account of one of the '70s biggest hitmakers. Researched in great detail, Bread: A Sweet Surrender includes exclusive interviews with founding member Robb Royer, along with friends, family, and former musical associates of the band. This first-ever biography of Bread reveals the story behind the group members' formative years, their remarkable rise to fame, and the subsequent break-up--including the messy lawsuits that would dog them in later years. The book also features exclusive insights into their successful but short-lived 1990s reunion.

    • Outstanding in-depth biography of Bread

I’m very impressed. This biography gives details of exactly how this band came into fruition. It goes in depth of what caused the band’s hiatus, and what brought them back for one last time in the 1990’s. They were an amazingly gifted band, that left a legendary catalog of my life’s soundtrack. They are and always will be my all-time favorite soft rock band for the rest of my life. You will find this book to be hard to set down, and stop reading it.

    • Boring book so far and a pain due to pages still sealed together.

Book was not packaged well, consequently it was dirty upon arrival. The most frustrating part was in 12-15 places the bottom of the pages were still sealed together.
