A Bargain Portable Scanner
I bought this Whistler WS1010 as a refurb to replace a Bearcat scanner that has had better days. I didn't want to spend a lot on an unfamiliar brand. Another major point for me was that it had to be able to be plugged in. I have been impressed with this scanner after reading the manual and understanding how it works. The volume is more than loud enough for my needs. The Lock Out button is useful. Programming is easy. The buttons are all basically self explanatory with the symbols. This works in my area where scanners still use analog. For what I paid I'm more than happy with this Whistler portable scanner. And this refurb unit looks and works like it's brand new!
