Very interesting film
"Trumbo" is an extremely interesting film based on real life scriptwriter of some major productions in 1950's and early 60's. He was blackballed by 'Commie' scare of Joseph McCarthy and his life nearly ruined because of it. Bryan Cranston gives a academy award nominated performance which is riveting and insightful. The supporting cast is also very well accomplished and carry the story along with outstanding performances. The depiction of the people and the country's attitude gives one pause regarding how many folks currently let hatred and fear overcome reasonable and fair assessment of what we're faced with as a nation. Bios are not my usual choice of film watching but this one is highly recommended.

Engaging period Story
The previews I saw for this movie are what caused me to want to see it. I was expecting more of a comedy. It actually was about a very serious point in time in Hollywood called blacklisting. It was very good movie I highly recommend it. Especially considering what’s going on now with the political environment being such as it is. With Trump trying to call anything that doesn’t portray him as a god as fake news or a witchhunt.
