    I love this controller!

    It works perfectly for the games I use it with. I mostly use it for Super Nintendo emulation and PSX emulation as well. It doesn’t have the dual thumb sticks, but that’s ok because the PSX games I play really don’t need the thumb sticks or r2/l2 buttons anyways. It does have l1 and r1 triggers and that’s just fine. It connects to my phone in like 1 second every time. Great value

    It's got flaws. Lots of them.

    So I finally got one of these off eBay. Having some issues. I'm about 10 ft away the controller loses connection or my play starts to do random stuff, precise movements such as getting to the negative world's in mario nearly impossible. Seems like you can't hold down and jump forward at the same time. Slight lag even with game mode on. I've never been hit so much in zelda. Im also used to having my index fingers on top of the controller where the turbo buttons are which makes holding the controller awkward. Pluses, nice build quality, is playable, accessing the home menu from the controller is great. I wouldn't pay a dime over 40 for this.

    On the Fence

    All 8bitdo controllers have a nice and sharp look, they have a nice heft to them and a great resemblance to the classic controllers. That being said, the lag while using them with the NES and SNES retro receiver is to great and makes the games basically unplayable. Is this is how you plan to use your controllers maybe go a different route. I have to point out however that I have yet to test the controllers on a computer running a console emulator.

    Bought this controller to have a second controller for the new mini system. It works perfectly fine with the NES and was easy to install and use. Will certainly purchase again if I need a new controller in the future.
