Good titile but you must see film to understand
Excellent WW2 espianage thriller, with the always reliable James Garner in the lead and a host of excellent character actors helping out.. B & W adds to the texture and feel for that time period.

A MOST ENGAGING AND ENTERTAINING MOVIE
Between being a fan of Jim Garner, an avid student of WW II, a student of the Allies' successful intelligence endeavor of "Operation Fortitude" to keep the Germans guessing as to the actual date and location of the D - Day Landings and "Overlord", "36 Hours" is a most engaging and entertaining movie. Interesting movie with a little twist.
Saw this movie years ago and I remembered--except the title. I finally looked it up and bought it. A friend of mine and I watched it together and loved it. lent it to a friend who read the summary. It's an interesting addition to WWII movies since the perspective is different.
