Guess Who's Coming to Dinner? (VHS, 1999)
Another 1960's liberal production of the Hollywood "elitist" about how all true Americans should live. Sidney Poitier as Dr. John Prentice, has an affair with a wealthy, spoiled white girl in Hawaii. His parents are professionals in LA, and hers are liberal newspaper publisher Matt Drayton (Spencer Tracy) and art gallery owner Christina (Kate Hepburn). Joanna, the daughter, is bringing her new boyfriend to dinner. John's parents are flying up from LA for this dinner and a "meet-and-greet" too. Neither family has any idea that the other is of a different race. When everybody meets, all are cordial, but the racist undertones are uncomfortable and the tension can be cut with a knife. Throughout the evening, there seems to be only one idiot in the entire place, Joanna. She is the only one ... This is a good movie, but was then and is still, a topic that few have truly, (and successfully) put to the test. This topic was very provocative for the time.

A good movie for race relation.
A very good movie for race relationship. In a world that is town apart by race, this movie demonstrates that every man is equal and shouldn't be judge my the color of their skin. If two people love each other their should be nothing to stop them from conecting, no matter what the color of their skin.
