Perfection And Knowledge At It's Best!
Love the book. It covers Everything! You can really understand the mind of an abuser and why he thinks and acts like he does. If you are living with an abuser, be prepared for a strong dose of reality. This book will make you realize just how disturbing his or her behavior is. It will make you notice just how immune to their behavior that you get. I was reading this and looking at my husband but not in the same way I use to look at him. There is no excuse for their behavior. Some of us go through far worst things in our lives then they do and we don't choose to treat people that way. It's really an excellent read and an eye opener. I hope if you choose to stay or leave, you find some kind of peace.

I can't even begin to express how helpful this book has been for my family, my friends and me! Why Does He Do That? prepared me for everything my ex-husband has done throughout our divorce and custody proceedings. My ex has done everything "by the book" and, although it's horrible, at least I knew what to expect and have been ready for every attack. Knowing your enemy is essential for basic survival as a victim of domestic violence. For the first time, I'm not caught off guard by all of my abuser's tactics. It's an empowering book. Knowing why abusers do what they do doesn't make sense, but at least there's no more fear of the unknown. The contents of this book untangles the web of confusion used by batterers and exposes their motives. I believe Mr. Lundy Bancroft's works will help many to avoid potential future abusers. I am so grateful to the author.Read full review

This book is so informative, it opened my eyes to the truth and made sense of a lot of craziness that was happening in my life. It's so catchy too, once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. I highly recommended.

This book had such great insight. This author really understands angry and/abusive/moody men. Reading this book was a wake up call for me. As a wife, I was in denial about just how severe the abuse was in my marriage. This book made me see my husband without the blinders on.
