Bought it for the excellent bracket holding the ballast resistor which I fitted to my new old stock silver Lucas high power unit. I must say it's a great price for a coil with that bolted onto it and i'm sure it would work perfectly but in my case it'll be a spare for the future. I did measure the resistance and I can see how it would suit ballast or non ballast. I'm very happy with the purchase, it was a great price and delivered quickly, many thanks to Simonbbc, and my engine bay loves it too.
