    A Classic!

    They don't write rich, deep character studies like this anymore. James Dean is at his all time best in this film, as well. This film is one of my favorite stories. Wholesome, loving, complex, playful... a story you'll enjoy for decades. (I don't want to give too much of the story away.) The ending is such a surprise. Love the acting, love the story! 10/10

    Steinbeck, Kazan, and Dean

    One of the best film adaptations of all time of what is one of the most beloved novels of all time. This is Hollywood at its best. Perfect material, perfect actor for the role, and a director crafty enough to bring the off camera drama on screen. A masterpiece.

    EAST OF EDEN

    East of Eden was a very engaging film. Even though it was made in 1954 the story written by John Steinbeck is still fascinating and entertaining. This DVD was a Blu-ray also and it came with a variety of really interesting special features. I totally recommend this movie.

    It's James Dean. His first full length movie. He died young in a fast car on the open road and became a legend. For my generation there is nothing more that needs to be said.

    Classic film at its best

    One of the best dramas of all time, with the added bonus of having James Dean staring in the lead. The soundtrack is beyond great and the story line by Steinbeck is classic. The characters are unforgettable and it has a surprising ending. The Blu-Ray DVD copy made it all come to life on the screen. Buy this DVD, don't wait. If you never saw this film, you are missing a gem.
