The filter fit well. The original HEPA filter had a felt-like layer that I suppose acted like pre-filter. This review explains why I almost returned the two filters. The filter recieved was pleated paper. This style probably has a greater surface area. But one of the filters took a hit en-route. The pleats were close to being torn. Looked worse than it was but still damaged! A little care when packing could go a long way to prevent dissatisfaction with an otherwise decent filter.
