For those that transition from 35mm film Minolta cameras will find that the 7D is very similar in handling. Hergonomics are the best I have used to date (for reference my latest digital camera is a Sony a99ii). The things it strugles the most is the AF module, that is a step down from the 7 and 9 film cameras. Still is very accurate and the anti shake add to a excellent experiente. Comparing the output of the sensor to the current cameras is amazing how it can hold its own. While the 6mpixel sensor shows less resolution, the color is amazing. When browsing my photo colection I can clearly see and identify the photos taken with this camera. The skin tones are beautifull. In 2019 its still a greath camera to use.

MINOLTA were the first to offer AF to the photographer community, they were the first, to offer IS (Image Stabilization) in their first digital bodies, the 5D and the semi pro 7D body. I still use the 7D today to make learning "Pros" familiar with all the options a pro camera should have. Still only 2 years ago, I took a 7D on a trip with me alongside 101 on the Paciific Coast and was surprised, how good an "ancient" 6MP DSLR could proove vs my established CANONs and NIKONs, while today SONY - as a successor of MINOLTA - gets all the merits for sophisticated digital imaging....
