    Great gift for LOTR fans

    My 8 year old got this for Christmas after he read the books. He was really into chess and this set was a gem. He loves it! Some of the pieces were a little bent, but it kinda works with the theme. Great set.

    Best gift

    I bought this as a gift for my super LOTR need boyfriend. He has been getting in to play chess lately and this was the best things for him. He loves it so much. It does make playing chess a little more difficult because you need to know what characters are what pieces but it is a beautiful set.

    Just as described

    Back in the early 2000s, my sister had this chess set she got from Toy's R Us. I loved that chess set but we used to play with them like toys and the pieces ended up either broke or lost. I'm so happy I found this set in perfect condition for such a good price. Brings back good memories and great for LOTR fans like me!

    Big chess pieces are unique

    The chess pieces are a bit too big, but with a bigger board you can use the pices like any chess set. Chess House and stores that specialize in chess games and other board games should have some awesome boards to choose from. I love the chess pieces in this set myself. They are unique.

    Cool LOTR Chess set, but black colour fades a bit.

    It is a nice set of chess. Quality material (though plastic, but feels nice, smooth and solid). Only thing is that the Morder black pieces fade in a colour of wringwraith green (kind of cool if you like it, but the black colour fades considerably) and characters. I like the pieces. The characters are nicely detailed, with face expressions as well.
