I was devastated when I accidentally reformatted my Sansa e280 that I had used for years. There is no other MP3 player that compares with this one. Why, oh why did Sansa discontinue them?! I have tried other brands and they are so inferior it is ridiculous. So I was thrilled to find this refurbished one on ebay. It has been wonderful - so easy to use and amazing battery life. I love it!

I have been using Sansa e260 ,e270 and e280 MP3 players since 2009. Over the years ,I have bought 5 of them and lost 3 . The scroll wheel of the remaining two stopped working recently. I am lucky to find this one with few minor scratches on the screen for $ 30.You need windows media player or windows media center ( windows XP or 7) to sync with this player. Too bad Sansa stopped making them.

these players are excellent buys for the money. easy to use, sync immediately with windows, good sound, and best of all, the battery is replaceable. i hate throwaway devices, and this one has lasted through two batteries and is going strong. be careful on the jack for the earphones, though, it isn't very secure and if you force an ill fitting earphone plug in and out a few times, you will kill the jack and you will have to throw the e280 away or take it apart and replace the jack. neither is a good choice. better to plug in your earphones once and leave them there. the ability to take a micro sd card is wonderful. i now have a 10gb player instead of an 8, so my entire collection can be carried in my pocket. this is a good buy, better than my daughter's apple ipod or my wife's zune for three reasons: 1 replaceable battery; 2 you can install a micro sd card for more capasity; 3 the quality of the sound is richer as for price, i got mine cheaper than the ipod or zune, but maybe i just got lucky.Read full review
Pros: It is small and easy to use. It syncs up with the computer very easily. Inexpensive and has a FM Radio, MicroSD slot allows some great expansion.Battery life I have found to be really good as long as the 20hrs suggested by Sansa. Sync with Media player's and create playlists. Voice recorder built-in Mic works real well. Cons: Movies must be converted first. Summary: I think over all this is a great buy. I would definitely suggest this to some first time MP3 buyers. It has all the features and enough room at 8gb and an expansion slot.
It allows you to see what you want to play along with having an option to make a play list . It is swall and portable and connects easily to the computer. The program that you download to convert video is easy to use. The preset FM radio is also a good feature. That being said I wish that it was a little more durable for the price you pay. Also it would be better if it had an external speaker to listen w/o headphones. I has better than average volume but I wish it was a little louder. One more feature I wish it offered is being able to listen to music while the player is charging. That being said, I would recommend it to my friends because it offers more good than bad. Oh another good feature is that you can record from the radio or record your voice.
