      Great portrayal of Biblical history

      I really enjoyed the portrayal of Paul's last days in their actual historical context. The conversational dialog did a good job of conveying biblical text and meaning without actually quoting the New Testament verbatim. This made it more humanistic and real. I wish I'd found it earlier and hope that others like it will be made.

      Evil Nero is winning against the Christians to brutality stamp out Christianity.

      I think the actors worked with the inferior script. Cinematography was great. I was expecting it to be more about his awesome ministry. Instead it was about the evil in Rome. I was expecting it to be more in line with the book of Acts than the persecution of the Christians in Rome and Paul's imprisonment. There are some back flash scenes showing Paul's conversion to Christianity. The script writers should have used Paul's life described by Luke in the book of Acts and any history written about him.

      Absolutely recommend!

      The story follows the Bible very well. Sometimes it was difficult to get through. I suggest that you watch it before you allow children to watch it. Especially the scenes where Christian are used to light the streets of Rome at night. It also included bits of history written by Roman authors during the time.
