They aren't cleaned because they then get full of water and people complain, people like your self. Also it can damage them. De greasing your engine bay isn't the same as de greasing an alternator alone. That is why they are wiped cleaned ONLY prior to being mailed out . If you wanted a new part you should of paid the $400 for one and not $89.99 and free express shipping for a used one . Blocked list for you. Enjoy your weekend
