Disappointing for a marine radio in a marine environment, the antenna mount, nuts & washers & the fitting screws are NOT stainless steel & are going to rust in the first week after installation. All these fittings should be Stainless Steel. Very Disappointing. Buyer beware.

Great little maine stereo
I got this stereo to replace a old car stereo that was installed in my yacht. It is a very compact unit and suits my needs perfectly. It puts out good quality sound through my existing 4 x 6.5 inch speakers. Its also plenty loud enough for my needs. Radio reception is AM/FM is pretty good though plugging in the aerial only seems to improve the AM reception. The FM reception was ok anyway without the aerial so must use some other mechanism to get it's signal. You can only program 3 x FM and 2 x AM channels into the system and if you want to listen to any other station then they have to be searched for each time. The adjustment of speaker balance, fader, tone\equaliser etc is available by holding down the mode button but this is not explained at all in the instructions which are pretty ... The Bluetooth functions well and is easy to use. The antenna that came with this package is ok but has a short cable. The 3 inch speakers that came with this package work ok but they don't sound great so I don't really recommend them. In saying that I didn't install them and just tried them on a bench. These speakers would probably sound better mounted into a solid surface. If you want bigger better speakers then I still suggest that you upgrade to a better speaker package with this unit or buy the speakers separately. Overall I am happy with this purchase. The addition of the speakers and aerial only added a small amount to the cost of the basic unit. I think it was good value for money.
