Too difficult to see during the day.
I tried this "blackout" version to see the time in the dark. My previous "Illuminator" watch was too bright and created too much glare to see when I wake up in the middle of night. This watch is OK for that. But the back-light only lights up one corner and the other three corners are very dim. This watch is difficult to see in daylight and indoor lighting. It does help if you are directly above it. The numbers appear nothing like they do in the picture. The contrast is not as sharp, especially with the smaller numbers. I love Casio watches, but I do NOT recommend the "Blackout" version. I tried this "blackout" version to see the time in the dark. Great watch for a great price...
Cool watch, very comfortable and looks cool. Lots of features including a stopwatch, alarm, hourly signal and dual time, but the best feature is a hidden one. One that isn't available with the other modes... A hidden countdown timer! Yep, this watch has a countdown timer that was disabled at the factory. The bands won't last long term, but you should easily be able to get a few years out of it. There are plenty of replacement bands out there that can be had fairly inexpensively, whether you choose something leather, resin, canvas, nylon, NATO, ZULU or whatever, there are no shortage of bands you can put on this watch. By the way, you people complaining that you can't read the sisay because it's too dark, next time, don't buy a watch with a negative display. But don't complain that you ... This would be 5-Star if the Glass surface was recessed. I'm active and it was scratched Day 1. All said, I really like everything about this watch. All pertinent data on the main screen is there at a glance. No nonsense.👍

It could be better
Im a fan of Casio watch my old casio watch was a DBC32, but this watch really disapointme because its screen is black and I cant see well the hour and date, in the advertising it is look nice. Bad choice.
