Think you Need this knife for small occasions, metal detecting, & future gardening know doubt. I have its big brother,Trowel & is awesome too, just that it can be a little heavy at times, after using it for long hrs. Can get a little heavy & clumsy sometimes in its sheaf, hanging off 1s belt. Thats the other reason I bought the Cub, smaller in size, & a touch lighter. Does the same job, just a shorter blade.
