[[BOOK WAS THOUGHTFULLY PACKAGED - a definite plus for book lovers and collectors]] . Was delighted to see my book wedged between 2 stiff card-boards and shrink wrapped! This protected my book from rough handling during shipping that can create unsightly dents at the spine and the edges. Clearly, the seller took thoughtful and diligent steps to ensure that the parcel can withstand the ravages of shipping and can keep the book in pristine condition! i am grateful to the person who packed my order

  • excellent- could have been double the length

I was interested to read about the development of the railway system in the USA and about the individual lines- Rock Island, Union Pacific etc. and this book covered it all, including a background to the various individuals running them- fascinating!

  • The Routledge Historical Atlas of the American Railroad

I already had a copy, and the price was great. It is probably the best single history of railroads in North American in existence. There is a tremendous amount of information in a very understandable and concise format. There are more exhaustive railroad history texts, but if you only have one, this should be it. Hugh Whaley
