Synopsis
Owen Meany, the only child of a New Hampshire granite quarrier, believes he is God's instrument; he is. This is John Irving's most comic novel, yet Owen Meany is Mr. Irving's most heartbreaking character. "Roomy, intelligent, exhilarating and darkly comic...Dickensian in scope....Quite stunning and very ambitious." LOS ANGELES TIMES BOOK REVIEW "John Irving is an abundantly and even joyfully talented storyteller." THE NEW YORK TIMES BOOKR EVIEW

Item description from the seller
Seller feedback (662)
- l***a (6743)- Feedback left by buyer.Past yearVerified purchaseEXCELLENT book...VERY WELL packaged. The item arrived disgracefully late, but this is no fault of the seller, who clearly mailed it on he date he claimed. The good old USPS messed this one up. At one point, tracking records said the package had been delivered to a front porch in some godforsaken burg somewhere in Middle Tennessee, hundred of miles from me. Reckon they recovered it and sent it on. Annoying. But not at all the seller's fault. I'd certainly buy here again.Thorazine Beach by Bradley Harris (2013, Trade Paperback) (#364447460654)
- c***2 (325)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseItem was reasonably priced, as described, and packaged well.
- k***k (145)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseShipping was fast and well-packed. However, I would rate the book as "Fair" condition, not "Very Good" as advertised. Many pages were highlighted with writing in margins, and there was a significant water stain. This seller might tend to be optimistic when describing condition.
