I do like the external bottle holder. I use a stainless steel bottle to carry 600-700ml of fuel as back up or to help out a fellow rider needing a slash to get to the next gas station.

I used the leather straps cinching them down as tight as I could and they didn't break. I threw a few zip ties into the bottom of the bag just in case I need them out on the road.
