The axe guard was sent as a flat piece of shaped metal which required to be finessed around the axe handle. A soft blow hammer did the trick and am happy with the finished product. So much better than the plastic guards which have to be heated then the struggle to get them down the handle. Would highly recommend.

These guards are really well made and do exactly what they should. Even with a well aimed strike, the axe head can penetrate deep into the timber when splitting logs. With these overstrike guards the neck of the handle is safe from any damage. Rob was prompt with dispatch and provided some great tips on how to properly fit the guard. I highly recommend him as a seller.

Overstrike comes flat, but easy to fit. I just bent it around the handle by hand and pull it together with a vice and finally touched it up with a nylon hammer and drill holes and done. Any problems seller keen help. Great ebayer
