On their Atlantic debut, this Detroit-area trio combine their city's musical heritages, blending Motor City rock & roll with contemporary electronic and acid house sounds. Add exotic Eastern instruments such as darabouka, dumbek and pod shakers into the mix and the result is a sound not unlike Kraftwerk at a club in "Kashmir." Highlights include the 1st single/video, "Temptation," and the ambient "Aftermath," which show The Tea Party moving into uncharted territory on the other side of today's cutting edge.

      The tea party

      I love the tea party. Seen them in concert years ago. I had a old cassette tape but was glad I could purchase the CD on eBay.

      My opinion one of the Tea Party's best albums!

      I love the raw intensity of the music and lyrics I was a fan before this album came out, but this album made me a fan for life ! If you have never heard anything from the Transmission album , You don't know what your missing.

      Good CD

      This purchase CD was the 9th time I've bought it. The reason is, everybody steals it after they hear it. The style the Tea Party offers is something that needs to be heard to be understood. Truly a key addition to anyone's CD collection.

      Transmission

      The Tea Party brings us a medium of music from a classic time called "post grunge". This was an amazing time in music for post-Nirvana bands and in my opinion - spawned some of the greatest bands around in the 90s. Collective Soul, Live, Candlebox, Creed and of course the Tea Party make up an elite list of amazing artist with only a short time frame to rein over the radio. The CD is one of the finest of the Tea Party's three albumn life. Pick up all of them and be transformed back to 1995 again. This was a great time in music
