      Unassembled=Hard

      Don't buy these UNASSEMBLED couplers. They are VERY difficult to assemble. Even when you do get them together the 'heat sealing' will get you every time. I managed to get them together but half melted them trying to 'heat seal' the boxes. Buy the assembled couplers & save yourself grief. They are excellent couplers like all Microtrains/Kadee couplers. The others (since Microtrains patents expired) range from inferior to JUNK. Stick with Microtrains. One brand (remain nameless) I call Breakaway Specials. When the train slacks on a curve they uncouple REGULARLY. As for switching & yard activities anything but Microtrains are USELESS. If you should attempt the unassembled version try using a heated paper clip to seal. A soldering iron will only ruin them. On the other hand the 1015 type ...
