Great generator.
Once arrived I added the correct amount of oil which was supplied in the box with the instructions and spark plug removal tool. Access to the oil filler is easy only requiring the removal of two screws in the side cover. Gave the generator a few pulls to circulate the oil, added fuel switched it to “start” and it started first pull. Have used it with our Motorhome for a couple of weekends away and has started first pull both times, powers everything needed including our microwave & coffee machine, overall a great looking and performing machine.Once arrived I added the correct amount of oil which was supplied in the box with the instructions and spark plug removal tool. Good out of the box.
Looked good out of the box and much easier to carry than 1400w generator I already have. Added supplied engine oil and fuel. Easy to start and runs my chainsaw well so ideal for clearing up branches, boughs and even trees that have fallen. Don't like using petrol chainsaws so ideal solution. Chose this generator as it's Inverter rated for power tools with high kVa rating. Good purchase. Malcolm.

A fine piece of kit.
TBH I was looking at solar panels to start with for use with our camper van which can cost a similar amount with all the electronics. At the end of the day I wanted something that I could use with power tools for those jobs like striming round Dads plot in the grave yard. It runs under load a mere 3 decibels louder than the similar sized Honda unit and further mechanical noise is suppressed by the plastic case. It has a clear control panel with various power outlets (even a USB port) which is a must these days. Plenty of quiet portable power
Bought for House standby for the Winter and for my boat in the Summer. This item supercedes a 3 kW unit on skids in the garage (Big and ugly) and a couple of 800W units on the jetty (Small, smelly and "Tinny".) all of which were noisy. This easily portable unit covers both needs in a compact manner. The only downside is that the output is via a standard UK 13 Amp socket. I would have preferred the 16 Amp Blue (Caravan) socket to suit my present cables (But I'm working on that)Bought for House standby for the Winter and for my boat in the Summer. At £460 it’s a bargain, and with £75 off it’s a steal
It’s true to its data information. 2.5kw start up, and 2kw continuous. Very efficient on fuel, and as quiet as is reasonably practical given it’s power. More power means more noise, but it’s compact size and well built. If it’s for camping you can easily make a sound proof side wall to encase it, and it would be silent. I’d recommend this generator
